Roughing It

Next Monday is a holiday, so I'm enjoying the 3-day weekend by going camping and hiking with a large group. João is the only one I know. It's a 6-hour bus ride to get to our destination, a national park called Serra dos Órgãos. Photos of this place are absolutely gorgeous - just Google it. We'll walk about 7 miles a day with a guide to lead us through the mountains. It doesn't sound too exhausting, but then again, it's been a long time since I've walked 21 miles with my necessary belongings, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and 3 days of food on my back.
